Woman murdered her husband over Xanax: Police
A Texas woman beat her husband to death after he “hid her Xanax from her,” say police in the San Antonio suburb of Universal City. Constance Seinwill, 61, is charged with murder.
Neighbors called 911 after she knocked their door and said she may have killed her husband, Ronald Seinwill Jr., 63, according to officers in reports from San Antonio ABC affiliate KSAT and NBC affiliate WOAI.
“He had hid her Xanax from her,” Police Chief Johnny Siemens told KSAT. “She was in an intoxicated state at that point already.”
She allegedly confessed during a four-hour law enforcement interview to killing her husband in a fit of rage, though she did not remember what object the used to do it. Siemens reportedly said investigators found several objects in the home that could be the murder weapon.
They had allegedly gotten into an argument. She struck her husband, who fell to the ground, cops said.
“She continued striking Ronald after he fell to the ground,” police wrote, according to WOAI.
A neighbor told KSAT that the couple “fought all the time,” even outside.
“You could hear them when they were getting out of the vehicles,” this person said.
The couple was together for 40 years, their daughter told local CBS affiliate KENS5.
“My dad was my best friend,” she said.
Her father had been sober for 23 years, but her mother had problems with alcohol and anxiety, she said. Then her brother passed away seven years ago.
“This shouldn’t have happened and I’m not too sure how to feel,” she said. “But at the end of the day they are both my parents and I will always love them.”
